A Guide to Marina del Rey Coffee Shops
Alfred Coffee
Located a seashell’s toss from the harbor, Alfred is one of the most aesthetically gifted coffee shops in Marina del Rey, given its deep ocean blues, rich solid-wood custom paneling, brass accents, boatloads of nautical-themed design touches on display, and amenities for a productive day. The picturesque decor serves as an accomplice to thoughtfully crafted, rewardingly delicious coffee beverages, scrumptious pastries, and bagel sandwiches.
The Cow’s End Cafe
A half block from Venice Pier, The Cow’s End offers guests a casual atmosphere underscored by iconic cow manikins and an upstairs loft with wooden floorboards, tabletops, and vibrant plants. Whether you’d like to settle into an armchair and appreciate the company of loved ones over a steamy cup of joe, grab a bite to eat after hitting the beach, or peacefully study amidst the familiar comforts of a beloved neighborhood gathering place, whatever the case may be, The Cow’s End has got you covered.
Capri Gelato & Coffee Bar
Instagram connoisseurs of cuteness ever on the prowl for all things pretty, allow us to introduce you to Capri, which can be found along Lincoln Blvd and provides patrons a beautiful environment accentuated by honeycomb tile floors, touches of greenery, and chic furnishings. That’s not to mention, the award-winning gelato flavors highlighting premium quality pistachios and hazelnuts imported from Italy, seasonal vegan sorbetto flavors, and coffee bar featuring espresso, affogato, and cold brew.
Ten by Bar Nine
Ten by Bar Nine serves award-winning, house-roasted coffee amidst modern digs boasting great big glass windows, cement columns, plush chairs, high-exposed ceilings, and a tranquil outdoor patio. The attention to detail that has gone into designing this polished abode with a delightful balance of charm and utility makes it an easy go-to for daytime meetings with colleagues, long overdue coffee dates, and solo study sessions. Should you meander on in at the tail end of an exhaustive work day, feel free to take a load off with a glass of fine wine – they’ve got a carefully curated collection to choose from.
Peet’s Coffee
Peet’s has a reliable work and gathering space that features plenty of tables to sit down at and stay awhile, there’s also a lovely outdoor terrace shaded by umbrellas. The founder, Alfred Peet, wasn’t trying to start a coffee revolution when he set up shop in Berkeley back in 1966. He just thought Americans deserved a real cup of coffee.
Five decades later, his lone store has since blossomed into 200, each holding true to his vision: sourcing directly from the world’s finest estates, hand roasting to order in small batches, and making sure every cup is brewed as fresh and full-flavored as possible.
Mariners Cafe
A short stroll from the harbor and nestled inside an apartment complex, Mariners Cafe is a relaxed hangout with nautical tones, cozy banquette seating, vaulted wood-paneled ceilings, and plenty of natural sunlight. The staff maintains a tempting selection of coffee drinks, homemade pizzas, salads, and baked goods.
