Nestled alongside the outer edges of the largest historic neighborhood in America’s southwest, BREWED is an aesthetically glamorous, coffee shop infused gastropub complete with ample space and the sort of warm atmosphere that leaves one feeling as though they’re in their own anthropologie-inspired living room. Lined with trendy – some might even dare to say hipster – cafes and bars, Magnolia Ave has developed into a premiere Fort Worth boulevard known for its good-time millennial vibes, flourishing art scene, and rich history. With this being said, pulling up a chair on BREWED’s fire pit dappled, streetside patio gives any visitor both a perfect view of all the action and a chance to enjoy intimate conversation away from what can turn into a crowded setting inside.

The coveted java beans they’re pouring are from none other than Dallas favorite, Tweed Coffee; but if you’re in the market for something with more of a kick, they’ve always got 14 Texas-brewed craft beers on tap and a unique selection of local red and white wines. All in all, an excellent spot for brunch, to groove to the sounds of a Lonestar musician, or even host a private event.

Ampersand breathes new, dangerously entertaining life into the timeless phrase, business in the front, party in the back. A peek through their window from the street shows a wonderfully decorated, cozy coffee shop with art pieces adorning cream-colored walls and verdure adding vibrant touches of green throughout the room. But a trip around back, hidden just beyond the guise of a funky patterned front counter, will reveal the truth behind one of cowtown’s most buzz-worthy nightlife destinations.

By day, the place is the best version of what it seems, they carefully roast Arabica beans shipped from all over the world in-house, using a technique known as Air-Roasting. Dedicated to bringing out the best flavor imaginable, you’ll be hard-pressed to discover a more satisfying cup of coffee. Then they get creative with the menu by offering irresistibly delicious spins on cafe favorites, for instance, there’s a snickerdoodle latte, Oreo Frappe, and refreshing range of fruit smoothy possibilities – we can’t forget about the diverse tea selection either.

By evening, the transformation commences as folks from all over line up around back to enter Ampersand Bar, which is a wholly enthralling upscale lounge experience in itself. The venue has hosted upward trending artists such as Majid Jordan (signed by Drake), GTA, and even Chantel Jeffries. CRUDE Craft Coffee Bar

Teresa used to work in the corporate offices of one of America’s most beloved home decor stores, Pier 1 Imports, where she’d affectionately treat her co-workers to an array of phenomenal baked delicacies; meanwhile, her son, Corey, was perfecting the art of craft coffee. Then came the day they decided to combine their passions and partner in opening what would become one of Fort Worth’s most sought-after coffee shop experiences, CRUDE.

The ambiance wreaks of sophistication, a true chandelier-lit haven for intellectuals, leather-bound barstools and comfortable suede-like chairs can be found throughout the roomy interior. Cultivar coffee is brewed for its high quality and exceptional taste, and for those more adventurous, CRUDE offers handcrafted caffeine-fueled, alcohol-induced libations.

If you’re looking to explore delicious new beverages, their bestselling signature Horchata Latte is a must, along with the mesquite-smoked espresso shot, AKA the Sid Richardson.

Sons Coffee

When the sons of liberty paraded aboard British ships anchored in Boston harbor to pour tea into the murky depths below just before the American Revolution, they did so with an unwillingness to compromise or stick to the status quo. Although their momentous spirit of rebellion is most often attributed to the birth of the greatest country on Earth, it also led to the replacement of tea with coffee as the true patriot’s drink of choice. In the wake of that cultural influence, Sons Coffee pays homage to those who thrive on the precipice of human ingenuity.

This urban-industrial coffee shop dons a minimalist interior that naturally places an emphasis on the things that matter most, loved ones and the humble art of craft coffee. Their Oat-Chata is a divine mix of cinnamon sprinkled horchata and oat milk on draft.

Avoca Coffee Roasters

Gaelic for “the great mouth,” Avoca takes on a whole new meaning in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. From their otherworldly concoctions such as the coca-cola-infused Charlie Sheen cold brew to dependable classics, this roastery has been pushing the figurative java envelope of excellence since its founding in 2011. The flagship cafe is ran out of what used to be an automobile service garage, and rooted in keeping the local community moving forward, it’s only appropriate that the festive building continues to function as an integral part of historic near southside culture.

Coffee Folk

You might not ever expect it, but some of the best coffee in Fort Worth is served out of a rebuilt, custom outfitted 1974 Coachman Travel Trailer. Gina and Brian Milligan launched this Meadowbrook gem after conducting a tireless search for an exceptional coffee shop storefront, having looked far and wide they thought, why not figure out a way to stay close to home and serve their local community with flare. Thus Coffee Folk found its home in a well-manicured grass pasture adjacent to Firehouse Pottery & Gallery – another worthwhile stop.

Neighborly compassion at the heart of their business on wheels, this husband and wife duo delivers unmatched hospitality with each cup of joe. One writer from WERO Kitchen gracefully recounts, “when I tasted the cortado at Coffee Folk, sitting outside at the small cafe table, listening to the goings-on of Meadowbrook, savoring the smooth, enchanting espresso, it took me back to my days in Europe, to the little shops and bars on the street, people standing and drinking coffee, no one on laptops working with their earbuds in, just visiting with one another and getting their daily coffee.”

Trinity Coffee House

Jennifer first met her husband Sam in the halls of TCU, where she was studying at the Neely School of Business and he was seriously pursuing a professional career in baseball. One Major League career later, they were ready to move back to Texas and begin the next chapter of their lives together. Real estate was the co-venture that first put this couple on the map, then came a trendy wine bar named Thirty Eight & Vine, and finally, Trinity Coffee House got added to their impressive portfolio the day after the property’s previous owners closed up shop due to poor economic conditions.

The cafe isn’t just an investment to them, its rescue from demise showcases their steadfast belief Fort Worth will overcome these momentary days of financial hardship. One outstanding brew at a time, Trinity Coffee House plays a critical role in fueling those who will ultimately be responsible for the revival of its surrounding community – remember, they are part of an entrepreneurial co-op. Therefore, useful electrical outlets are plentifully paired with chic timber furnishings that accentuate baby pink and creamy white wall tones, which aside from producing amazing functionality, also procures a fashionable, insta-friendly environment.

Dwell Coffee & Biscuits

If you attend TCU, then you’re probably already well aware of how delicious Dwell Coffee & Biscuits is. Originally started inside of a tiny old house in Burleson, they have since opened an alluring coffee shop on old town’s doorstep and another near the university; that’s not to mention, their widely-appreciated presence at TCU’s Football Stadium and mobile on-campus cart.

The husband & wife duo that founded this gem fell in love with the art of craft coffee early on, considering it an opportunity to meet fantastic characters, foster meaningful relationships, and share a smile or two along the way. While traveling the continent in search of java inspiration, they stumbled upon some sort of wonderful biscuit joint. This discovery further clarified their vision, leading to what is now a one-of-a-kind amalgamation of exceptional joe and scrumptious, biscuit-centric baked goods ranging from cinnamon rolls to pumpkin spice and lemon thyme enriched buns.

That vision came to life in 2019 with her opening of Black Coffee; complete with locally inspired roasts like The Eastsider Blend and The Poly Blend, a dark roast in honor of nearby Polytechnic High School.
